Switchboard not opening report in print preview

S

S

Microsoft Access 2007.

In my switchboard I have a report page. When you click on the report to open
it always opens in report view.

Do i have to make a macro to open it in print preview. Then in switchboard
have it run macro rather than open report to get it to open in print preview?

Any help would be appreciated.

It depends. If you have created your switchboard using the wizard in Access
2007 your switchboard uses embedded macro's. In that case do the following:

Open the Switchboard in designview. Look under events in the properties
window. Under the On_Click event you'll find an embedded macro. Go through
the list of actions and you will find the option that states: Open report
with the reportname set to =[Argument]. Don't change this part. In the next
line you'll see View which is set to Report change this to Print Preview and
save the embedded macro. You should have the desired output created now.
