switchboard menus

I have created the data base,
and the switchboard with sub switchboards,
Each page has 8 buttons.
on the sub menu pages I want to use one of the buttons to take me back to
the main menu, but the only option I can see exits the whole data base.
What do I have to do so that I return to the main menu and not shut the
whole data base down.
