SWITCH TO NATIVE MODE

Is there anything i need to be aware of when switching
from Mixed mode to Native Mode in win 2000, other than
make sure that all my DCs are WIN 2000?

When i do this will it take a long time and/or will I need
to reboot?
 
The main thing is that there are no more NT 4.0 BDCs in the domain being
switched to native mode. No reboot required. It happens immediately users
notice nothing.

FYI there are ONLY 2 ways to rename a Win 2k domain. One requires adding a
NT 4.0 BDC to the domain (mixed mode domain ONLY). The ONLY way to rename a
native mode Win 2k domain is during an upgrade to Win 2k3.
If you are sure you will not need to rename the Win 2k domain and have no NT
4.0 BDCs, make the switch.
