switch fat 32 to ntfs on xp pro

fat 32 does not support files that are bigger then 4 gig how do i change it
to ntfs file system

Carey, thank you for this reply to Steveo. I went to read your article and I
understand what to do, clearly. My hard drive is in NTFS and the external
drive as well as the compact disk drive are in FAT 32. I am only a beginner
and I never understood why these drives were installed so. Do I need to
"empty" the external drive before I convert it???
