Switch back to XP to manage wireless connection

My situation:
I have an IBM Thinkpad and it has an application loaded with it called
"Thinkpad Connectivity Manager".

Currently, I believe it manages my wireless connections.

I have had some trouble with that "connectivity Manager" software and
want to switch back to let Windows XP manage my wireless connections
fo now.

I was told by a 3rd party: "When you open the Windows XP wireless
there is a check box to let Microsoft Windows XP manage the wireless
connection. Find that and you're on your way!"

Where is this checkbox they are referencing here?

What are the step-by-step procedures to switching back to enable
Windows XP to manage my wireles connections?

This "check" (if there is one) should be in the "Thinkpad Connectivity
Manager" menus, it is Not part of the Windows OS.
In principle you can prevent the "Thinkpad Connectivity Manager" from
Starting up (look at the Startup folder) and then switch Windows Wireless
Zero Configuration (WZC) to Start automatically.
As long as the "Thinkpad Connectivity Manager" does Not load again, Windows
should manage the Wireless.
Unfortunately I can not give more precise advise since I do not have a copy
of the Thinkpad Connectivity Manager at hand.

Uninstall IBM Access Connections (or Lenovo or whatever it's called) and you
should be able to use Windows to manage your wireless. Access Connections
"sounds" like a good idea, but doesn't work well.

Sometimes there is a problem with uninstalling the original manufacturer's
Wireless utility.
Some manufacturers have a Strange Habit in combining the Card's drivers
installation with the Utility, as a result when you uninstall the utility
you lose the Drivers as well.
If the original Utility can not be disabled and uninstalling it result in
losing the drivers, the only other solution is to find the Card's chipset
OEM drivers on the chipset provider support site.

Thanks for this info. I have class tonight and will be using the
laptop that has this application in question and I'll see if I can
switch it.

I've never had this problem removing Lenovo's stuff.
