I have the same experience as John. Norton detects the
Swen Worm emails and prohibits opening attachments but
they just keep coming. I do not have Norton AV but I do
have MS Firewal enabled. The problem however, is that it
constantly becomes disabled when I shut down causing me
to enable it every time I boot and before fetching email.
MY ISP then shows it is firewalled but I get a message
from MS that changes may not take place until a reboot!!
I have asked MS about why thishappens numerous time and
they never provide any light on why this happens. I have
installed XP Home 5 times and done all critical updates
and all the Outlook updates but have never soleve dthe
problem of thes settings not being saved.

Dave:
I had the same problem after a reinstall. I just finally deleted that e-mail
account and created another. Wasn't that hard to edit my account info.at the
places where I'm registered. No more Swens since.
