I have already posted a similarquestion but have a different take.
My company is looking at creating a standard build for our 2000 servers. We have been debating on whether or not we should put our swap file on a seperate partition from our Data volume. Our current config looks like this.
C:sys
D
ata
F:swap
we are looking at this now for our config:
C:SYS
D: Data and SWAP
Servers are configured with RAID 5 and a hotspare. We partition our drives with one extended partition and then logical drives for both the data volume and swap volume.
Can a swap file on a windows 2000 server be fragmented and become unstable if it is on a volume with other data?
