svchost.exe

I keep getting this error
svchost.exe has gneerated errors and will e closed by
Windows. An error log will be created.
This happens when I get connected to Internet.
What should I do? Update Windows 2000 or Update Internet
explorer (I have 5.5) or should I try a Service Pact?
Help!
