svchost.exe

When I connect to the internet, after about 4 minutes
svchost create's an error message and is then shut down. I
am using w/2000/pro. Is there afix for this problem?

Robin, svchost can be running several services and you need to find which
one is the culprit. Once you're up and online, run Task Manager to see how
many instances of svchost are running. See if you can identify the
process/service each is responsible for. List them on paper, then close one
down (end task) and wait. If you crash again, next boot, choose another to
close down until you're running as you should. Then you'll know the source
of your problem.
