svchost.exe virtual memory drain

This process is draining memory in the task manager.
Eventually a message stating that my virtual memory is too
low and the page file is being increased appears.

If I stop this process, svchost.exe keeps trying to
resurrect itself and again ties up system resources.

I think the problem may involve an ISDN modem I have
installed, but am unsure.

Can any one provide advice

Usually more ram is needed for the system, for a chk on
virtual memory,R.click my computer,properties,advanced,
virtual-memory,change button,set to custom,min at 1 1/2
X ram,max at 3X ram,press set 2X.close out,take note
to specs before changing, usually letting windows manage
is best, but if ram isnt there it doesnt have much to
work with. Also open event viewer for more details.

What percentage of the processor is SVCHost taking up?

This process is succeptable to infection if Windows is
not patched correctly, MS Blaster was one virus that,
even if not succesful in infection, could interfer with
the SVCHost.
