svchost.exe file

Within 10 minutes of logging onto my computer this shows
up: svchost.exe has generated errrors and will be closed
by windows. an error report will be generated.
My computer then is unusable. How can I fix this problem?

svchost.exe runs a number of services on the computer. Check your
event logs for anything suspicious that coincides with your errors.
Scan through the services applet (settings -> control panel ->
administrative tools) to see if anything that should be running, isn't.

The event logs are your best bet to ID what is happening.
