svchost.exe error

I installed WIN2000 after formatting the hard disk and
after a few minutes connected to the internet, I get an
error: "svchost.exe has generated errors and will be
closed by windows..." The error does not seem to occur
before I connect.

No software other than WIN2000 is installed on the
machine. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Try searching the messages in this newsgroup that have 'svchost'
in the Subject line.
