SVCHOST.EXE error

Ric

This is related to Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional,
SP2. The built-in Fax service. We are getting the error
message: "SVCHOST.EXE has generated errors and will be
closed by Windows." Is anyone familiar with this
problem?

Hi man,

Look into the Cert.org,
It's should be the virus that hack on port 139 and 445.
check out that and you can type netstat -an to see are you
sending virus to others.
good luck!

How did you know that this is caused by Fax Service? Is there any other
eventlog suggesting that? Are you running any anti-virus on your computer?
Check that your computer is not infected with viruses. If the problem
persists, you can get back with more details to this Newsgroup.

Thanks,
Anand
