What exaclty is the SVC Host?
Everytime I log off the computer an error box pops up
saying SVC Hose is not connected. Thanks.

svchost is a program that provides a generic environment for running
services in. IE it is a container for services.
Depending on how the services are written and configured, one or more
services will run in each copy of svchost. You will be more likely to see
multiple services inside one svchost if the services are characteristically
light in workload, and related in functionality.

I suggest you note the exact error message and take a look in the event log
for events occuring at about the same time and post back to this news group
for further help.

Event Log - in XP: Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer.
Look in the Application and System event logs.
