Hi,

I am using MS Windows XP Home Edition SP2. Recently I have noticed a process
in Task Manager "661C3578.exe". I am suspecious about this process, because I
didn't notice thit earlier and it consumes a lot of memory (44MB aprrox.).
Sometimes it consumes a lot of CPU time also.
I did not get any information about this process while searching internet.
Can somebody help me getting some inside about this?
I don't know if it's a virus or something harmful. I have Norton intalled
and it says everything is fine.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

What Norton have you got? Internet Security or Anti-Virus? And what year -
2007, 2006.......?

Before you start anything, do a backup of all the files you need on your
system.

It sounds like you have spyware on your system. Do you have anything like
Ad-Aware / Windows Defender / Spy Sweeper? If you do, do a full scan and
remove all the things it reports. If not, install Ad-Aware by following
these instructions:

Go to the following site, and install Ad-Aware:
http://dw.com.com/redir?pid=1063940...22&siteId=4&edId=3&pid=10639408&psid=10045910

Install it, Update the definitions, and then run a FULL system scan. Remove
everything that it says is bad. Restart your computer and see if it has
gone.

Let me know if it fixes it.
