supress blank lines on labels in Vista

The operating system has no bearing on whether there are blank lines on your
labels.

I guess that you mean Word 2007?

Are you talking about inter-line spacing or missing lines caused by missing
data? Are you using the label tool on the mailings tool bar or mail merge?
If the latter are you inserting individual fields or the addressblock?

Hi Graham,

I am using mail merge. The problem is that some addresses have 4 lines and
others 5 so the adresses with 4 lines have a gap between the lines.

The most reliable approach is to conditionally insert the line feed and the
field that may not have content only when the field has content eg

{Mergefield Address1}{If {Mergefield Address2} <> "" "¶
{Mergefield Address2}"}{If {Mergefield Address3} <> "" "¶
{Mergefield Address3}"}¶
{Mergefield Address4}

All the curly bracket pairs are placed with CTRL+F9 and the fieldnames
should be replaced by the actual field names. Press the enter key only where
you see ¶
