I keep getting this mail about "Buffer Overrun in
Messenger Service Could Allow Code Execution (828035)"
and a URL "windowspatch.net" to download a patch to fix
the problem. Is this an official Microsoft site or is it
unsecure.

The only trusted location for downloading patches is
www.windowsupdate.com

Don't get ANY MS patch from ANY other site.

Do and you're a fool.
