Superimpose Two Documents

Hello,

Does anyone know if this is possible.

I have got two documents, one is a template for customer statement, the
other is the actual data for the statements, with all the data laid out into
the correct positions.

Is there any way to superimpose the data over the top of the statement
template to create one document.

The only way round I can think of would be to print all of the templates
then put them back into the printer to print the data over the top. I want
to avoid this if possible as there are about 2000.

Alternatively if anyone knows of any other software that would do this
please can you let me know.

Kind Regards,
Beth

Hi Beth,

The answer to this is a qualified "maybe". Exactly how is the "data
laid out into the correct positions"? If the data pieces are in named
form fields or otherwise separated into identifiable chunks that can
be matched to the corresponding places in the template, then a macro
can combine them.

Otherwise, it probably would be quicker to print 2000 copies of the
template and then run them back through the printer to add the data,
instead of fiddling with a complicated macro and then having to
proofread every statement to make sure the data appeared in the
correct places.

If you want me to take a look, you can zip together copies of the
template and the data and email them to me.
