so what do you do when you buy a copy of windows xp and
you find everything but the CD key and the cd in the box?
Also the store will not refund the product because it was
a special order. By the way the box was unopened.

Turn them in check out the MS site how to tell.
go back to them and tell them you will turn them in if no refund for
pirating ms software. heck turn them in anyway

it wasn't a pirating though. the box just didn't come
with the cd or a key. i know it was unopened because i
shop there alot and nothing til now was wrong with them.

Take it back for Exchange or demand a refund. If the CD key did not come
with the package, then they did not sell you what you have requested. Do
you have a cell phone? If so,get the number for your local Better Business
Bureua ( BBB ) office or Chamber of Commerce, then tell the store they you
are caling the BBB and/or CoC to file a complaint.

and still report them to Microsoft, once you discovered and attempted to
return/exchange the software and they refused..well smells of fish to me
just let them know you will turn in a report to MS. They did not sell a
legal copy of the software if it did not come with a KEY code label.
don't let the box fool you they have shrink wrap and can make it look brand
new...

I have heard of some employees well not going to say where but they were
doing this and selling the Keycodes nuff said
