Summing quantities despatched between dates

Date.............Quantity
1/1/05..........10
2/1/05..........15
6/1/05..........12

I need to be able to calculate the total quantity despatched from th
?/?/?? to the ?/?/?? where ?/?/?? is entered by the user.

I.E.

Enter first date - 1/1/05
Enter second date - 3/1/05

Total Quantity despatched - 25

Hope someone can help.

assuming the date and quantity are listed in cells a1 thru b100 and th
desired first date is in cell c1, and last date in cell d1

=sumproduct((a1:a100>=c1)*(a1:a100<=d1)*(b1:b100)
