Summary of rows

I have a worksheet with 22000 rows on mobile telephone calls made with
various items of data, name, mobile number, number called, cost, type of
call, section etc.

I would like to just reduce the list quickly to show name, section.

I can do this by deleting rows, but it will take forever. I have tried a
pivot table, but cannot seem to remove each rows total, I have tried subform
but I cannot get it to display section, name will as it is the first column.

Any ideas?
 
To get rid of subtotals in a pivot table, right click on the row field and
click None under Subtotals...
