suggestions for a better ATi vid card on a Sony PC...

I'm running XP Home and dual booting Vista beta as well, and my X300 that
came with my RA-820G Sony desktop. It runs Vista Aero just fine, but I'm
looking into a slightly faster one so I can put some games on the PC, and
want an ATi (they've been very, very good to me) and looked at some at good
old Best Buy. Caution flags go up because of the additional power required;
supposedly this Sony has an odd-sized (physically and electrically) power
supply, and ATi recommends "minimum" power supplies of, say, 350 watts, I
believe this one comes in just under that.

I don't want to start causing instability or worse with a power-hungry video
card, so I'd appreciate any help from those who might have this Vaio and
stepped up from the X300 or who might know another ATi that would work for
sure. The minimum requirements say 350 watts on a "fully loaded" machine,
well, this Sony has had only one addition, a 120-meg SATA drive.

Thanks!

The fast ATI or Nvidia cards are power hungry.
Many OEMs put a minimum capacity PS in the mass market PCs.
