Suddenly cannot receive mail through outlook express

I cannot receive my e-mail. As I open mail, I get this
error message:

"Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
Possible causes for this include server problems, network
problems, or a long period of inactivity.
Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net',
Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '+OK', Port: 110, Secure
(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F"

I have been through the phone tech help nighmare at
Microsoft and HP, trying to get it figured out...any
ideas?

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups). The links under the newsgroup
references are for use with MS's web newsreader (not exactly the best way to
post but it works for some people)

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
