Here is what I did: I added up a bunch of cells by entering an equal sign then clicking on the cells I wanted to sum up.
Now looking back on my formulas, I've noticed that it contains extra plus signs, one after the first term, two after the second term, three after the third term, etc.. For example, =A1+B1+E1+J1+K1 is now =A1+B1++E1+++J1++++K1. Why is it doing this and what does it mean? What might I have done to cause it to display in this way?
While I didn't look that carefully at the formula when I first entered it, I do know for certain that I didn't do anything out of the ordinary to create it. When I redid the formula it does not display the additional plus signs. The formula with the extra plus signs appears to be the same as with just one plus sign.
