Subweb - can't login

T

Tom Richards

I generally create a subweb for a prospective client (a demo site) and let
them peruse it. I cannot login, however, to a subweb that I've been trying
to create for the past hour. I'm running FP 2003 and I get to the logon
screen and it won't take my password and/or username. Is there something in
the FP code that precludes 2 subwebs being created in the same domain? I
already have a subweb there and that's my only guess after trying everything
for the past 2 hours. :-(

No, it your host allows you to create subwebs, then you should be able to create a unlimited number
of them, suggest you contact your web host.

sometimes, depending on type of server, and how you created the subweb...the permissions get messed up - contact your host and have them fix permissions on subweb.

Hi Tom,

Please check with your host on the issue..there is nothing in FrontPage that
would preclude you from creating multiple subwebs. Your host however might!

Ask the host if they ran a check on the extensions and/or actual checked the author permissions for
your account.
