Subweb advice needed

I have a couple of web spaces wher eI want to maintain different styles and
do not need to referer to each other in the navagation etc.
I currently have them in a folder under the main web
mywebs\grunwalds and
mywebs\grunwalds\pets

However even with "publish subdomains" UNchecked it FP XP still tries to to
synch the files

Question: should I NOT consider these "subwebs" and move the pets up equal
to the main web?
as follows ...
mywebs\grunwalds and
mywebs\pets

Then treat it as an entirely different web even though it will reside on the
web in a folder beneath the root?

Perhaps I misunderstood "subweb" and its use
http://grunwalds.com
http://pets.grunwalds.com is the same thing as http://grunwalds.com/pets

Hi Rick,

It is only a subweb if you create a new subweb or converted an existing folder to a subweb. If pets is not a subweb then you can
right click | Convert to subweb

Should I keep them as subwebs or move them out and treat them as separate
webs since they have no real connnection to each other.
