Ive been told to use Access 2007 (instead of Excel 2007) to compute
the total price amount, the total tax amount and the total fee amount
for each part-number in my 737,768-record file.

Since I've never used Access, how do I do this?

Each record contains:

the part-number (the first 9 characters)
the price (the next 9 characters)
the tax (the next 7 characters)
the fee (the last 4 characters).

The records are in ascending part-number order.
The part-number may occur in one or or multiple records.
