Subtotal problem specific to Excel 2003

Running XPSP1 and Excel 2003 SP1. We do not see this error in Excel 2000.

After completeing the subtotal functions, several rows appear to be
'switched' around. In Excel2k it look like this:

Item 1 | #
Item 2 | #
Total | #

In Excel2k3 it looks like this:

Item 1 | #
Total | #
Item 2 | #

I've been able to reproduce this on various machines running Excel 2003.
All tested machines running Excel 2000 do it just fine.

The totals are always correct, it's just the formatting that gets messed up.

Any ideas?

That problem was supposed to be corrected by installing this hotfix:
