Subreport position

I have a report with6 subreports in the details section. The last subreport
has a nasty habit of printing the headings at the bottom of the first page
and the details on the second page. I have the subreport putting the
headings on the second page, but I can't seem to get the heading not to print
on the first page. i have tried using various controls top property in
various OnFormat events to no avail. What am i doing wrong or how can I get
the heading not to print.

In the main report section, right click properties, change forcenewpage to
after section.

I may have left a little info out. I want the subreport to print on the
first page if there is enough room for a line or two of the report and the
remainder on the second page. If I forcenewpage after the section, this will
always put the subreport on the second page.
