Subforms never sort decending

Hello,

I've got a form with a few subforms, all of which are set off in different
tabs of a tab control. I want all of these subforms, which have start and
end date fields, to sort decending by start date so I see the newest data on
top. No matter where I set it to sort by decending start date it doesn't
matter and when viewed it sorts by acending start date. In the design of
each of the subforms it's set to sort by decending start date. In the tables
(which I never look at) it's set to sort by decending start date. Yet, none
of this matters.

What's up? Am I missing something? Is there some other control that's
overriding my sorting declarations?

Base the subform on a query that is sorted in descending order.
