Subform not updating

I have an invoices form with an open items subform. The
two forms are linked by the company ID (master/child).
When I select the company nothing happens to the subform,
but when I select the next main form record and then go
back to the one I was just on, the subform has the correct
information. How do I get the subform to update right
away?
