Subfolder Notification

I have folders within my inbox that have subfolders. Within these subfolders
I have a rule that will move some mail when received. If the subfolders are
not visible (expanded) there is not a notification that a new email has
arrived. Is there a way to make it where the folder is expanded or the parent
folder is bold?
