Subdatasheets

What are the advantage and drawback of the subdatasheets.
I don't really see any other interest than avoiding some info repetition

I understand they are a performance drag. I prefer to set all subdatasheet
properties to None. Most experienced programmers prefer to create
application where all records are view or edited in forms and reports.
