subdatasheets

After I converted my Access 2000 database into Access 2003 all worked fine,
only all the subdatasheets in frot end were missing, but they were still in
the back end. So I checked the relations, but it all looked right. So I left
the databse in 2000 format on the server and tried to access it from the
workstation with my 2003 instalation, again the same - subdatasheets missing.
Have you guys any idea what's the problem when it is working in 2000 but not
in 2003.

You wrote that you checked the relationships but did you check it in the
Front-End or the Back-End?

I am not using A2003 but in A2002, I have to define the relationship again
in the Front-End (in the Relationship window) for the Subdatasheet sign (+)
to appear in the DatasheetView of the "Ones" Table.

Hi, I checked both. I rebuild them. There is a mysterious thing. In fe the
insert-subdatasheets button is missing, even if I simply try to insert a new
subdatasheet, it's not possible. So I am not able to klick on th(+) and edit
anything. Only in be. [subdatasheets properties are all AUTO]

I tried. I linked it exactly as it was working before - no result. Could it
be something with the 2000 vs. 2003 format? That's my suspect nr.1. Maybe a
bug?

Try setting the "Many" Table as the SubDatasheet rather than "Auto".

Hello Matush,

I have the same problem. Subdatasheets (+ Sign) worked fine with Access 2000
with local-tables and odbc-linked tables. I tried MS-SQL-Server, Postgresql
and MySql.

After update to Access 2003 the subdatsheets are working fine with local
tables, but not with linked tables.

Have you found a solution for this problem?

Bye
Freitag
