subdatasheets not available on a subform - why?

E

edself

I have created a form with a subform that displays the results of a query in
datasheet
view. I'd like to be able to expand subdatasheets for each record listed in
the subform datasheet.

The query itself has the "+" signs that allow me to see the subdatasheets.
However, when I view the same query via the subform, the "+"s are missing.
How can I get the "+"s to appear in the subform datasheet?

AFAIK Access Limitation, only one level of continuous/datasheet
allowed.
