Sub Calendar- Not tracking accept message

R

Robyn

I have made 6 team sub calendars. When I schedule an appointment for
that team I go into the individual team calendar to schedule the
appointment. I then Invite the appropiate team members. When the team
member accepts the message the apppointment goes into their calendar
(and shows on the team calendar). I receive a message in email stating
the appointment has been accepted. but it will not automatically change
the tracking to the accept or reject status. I find it terrible to have
to manually track each appointment. Also I dont want all these
appontments on my calendar. Is there some code that I can implement to
have the tracking of sub calendars work?

Thank you
Robyn

THis is normal behavior. Outlook can track acceptances only for items in your default Calendar folder. You might want to consider using categories and 6 filtered views to keep information all on one calendar.

Hi Sue,

Thanks for the reply. I do understand how to change my calendar to
catagories and filter the view but here is my next question. Would it
be possible for each team to also look at their team calendar? or would
they have to reset the view? I would like each team member to be able
to have their own outlook calendar and the team calender side by side
on the screen.

Thank you

You could certainly grant access to the calendar folder, but people would be all the items in the folder. You can't restrict them to a single view.

Maybe you should be using a separate mailbox for each of these "team calendars," as you would a conference room.

The exchange group calender looks like what I need IF I can track the
accepting of the appointments.
