Style not in use when it is being used

Word does not recognize that a style - in fact all styles - is being used.
This means that when I need to reformat a very large document I need to
change the fomatting one page at a time. This problem arose when I switched
to Word 2007.

You will have to explain more in detail what you are trying to do, what
behavior you are expecting, and what happens instead.

I think what you're seeing is "Select All: Not Currently Used," when you try
to select all instances of a style. What this means is not that the style is
not being used but that "Select All" is not currently available because you
have disabled "Keep track of formatting." In Word 2007, this control is
found at Office Button | Word Options | Advanced: Editing options (Tools |
Options | Edit in previous versions).

Thank you so much. I didn't make the connection when I changed the option
and suddenly "Select All" was no longer available.
