Stupid question about PCI slots...

Okay don't laugh, but I need to know for sure :)

On a new 939 board with a PCIx16 slot (and of course normal PCI slots), can
a regular older PCI video card be used?

Why I ask is..I'm building a new system but I need a VIVO video card. I
wanted to keep my current AGP VIVO card, but I hate not to upgrade to newer
technology since I'm getting a new motherboard anyway.

I don't want to have to buy a new VIVO PCIx16 card right away, (I have to
have the VIVO, but I can do without it for a while) so since I have PCI
video cards lying around I figure I can use that to get the system going and
replace it with a real PCIx16 VIVO card later. I just can't afford to buy
all the new parts right now, but if an old PCI card will work for a while
that would help :)

Make sense? Good :)

Yes, if you plug the PCI cards in the PCI slots and not the PCI-E
slots.

As Mr Garrison would say:

"There are no stupid questions.....only stupid people".

Yes, it will work just fine.
