stuck at welcome screen

xp was working fine on aunt`s computer.
Now when it`s sxitched on it goes to welcome screen with
one user icon on it. (She doesn`t remember setting this up)
when icon clicked on, it just gives the message that it is
logging that user off- then nothing...
we can`t get past this screen or get it to do anything
else.
heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!
