I know about Microsoft's Office 2000 HTML Filter 2.0. They have (or had)
another bit of software that'd strip the FP-specific codes from a html document
to make the document smaller. It ran solo, not from w/in Office.

I had it but I lost it and now I cannot find it. Any help? TIA.

Why not just do it manually? But to tell you the truth, the few tiny bytes
of recovered filespace are not worth the effort.

Besides if you strip the FP-specific code( the webbots and all that jazz), you're
going to have a non-functioning Frontpage site. If you just want an editor (and
not use FP features), use Notepad.

Have you tried searching Microsoft for the utility or whatever it is?

FrontPage 2003 has this feature "Built in"
It does it when you Publish the page.

Open your remote web site and you will see the button at the top right of
the screen.
Click on the button to configure what you want taken out.

If you do not have FrontPage 2003 then you will need to use a third party
solution.

Found it -- it's "Office 2000 HTML Filter 2.0" I was thinking about. Now I need
to know it it'll work with Office 2003. Never ends. :-)

TIA.

The filter does not work w/ Office 2002/2003
