Streaming video player

When I want to watch streaming video on my portable, it runs in QT . When I
look at the same video on my desktop it runs in WM player. Can I change
these defaults somewhere? Thanks for any advise.
 
First check if QT is installed in Desktop - if no then install it!
Next step would be to open Windows Explorer and press shift right click any
movie/music file and the choose open with always QT. This would help!!
Let me know if you need any clarification...
 
My post was maybe a bit unclear but I wanted to change my portable to play
in WM. Up to now the behaviour
did not change when selecting to always open with WM. Thanks anyway
