Streaming ASF to MP3?

I currently use SDP to download ASF streams of a radio show I listen to.
Is there any program that will grab the ASF and convert it to MP3
on-the-fly so I can listen to it on my MP3 player? Currently, I have to
convert it to WAV with dbPowerAmp and then to MP3 with CDex. Speaking of
which, why can't dbPowerAmp use LAME for MP3 conversion so they don't
need to charge for the license?

I don't know much about ripping ASF streams. Sounds cool. What is this
SDP software you are using?

I can help you with your dbPowerAmp problem. Uninstall the version you
have now and re-install this older version with no limits on the MP3
conversion.
