Stray Folders

I run a small web site, Just recently when i make a new
page to upload it apens a stray folder with the page name
on it. Its is mixed in with the images, private ocertay
Etc folders and wont delete Says its part of a thicket
and cant delete.
Is there any way to stop these folders generating
themselves. When clicling on to the folder is says
filelist
 
Windows Explorer - Tools - Folder Options - View
- see the section on thickets (Manage File pairs)
