Strange White Box

A White square has suddenly appeared on my desktop. I have tried changing the
backgrounds but the square stays :( It doesn't affect any boxes opened on top
of it though just mighty annoying. Can anyone help?

Right click Desktop , Properties, Customize button
Web tab, Untick all items, Click OK, Click OK again
