Strange Time Out problems

I will be doing something such as removing shared borders from a page...and
it takes some time. Then I get a timeout message or something about
extensions are missing. And then the page will be fine without the shared
borders there.

Seems to take much longer to remove 2 side and 1 bottom border than just
removing a left border.

But why does this timeout happen? And why is the page ok after the error?

It sounds like you're doing this on the "live" web through FP. Have you
tried removing the shared borders on a local copy of the page(s) and
republishing to the server?

Seeing you're getting a "missing server extensions" error, this sounds like
a server issue (the time-out/missing FPSE) rather than something FP has
caused from your end.

Speak to your host/support regarding this. They might have to do a "health
check" on the server extensions, and/or reinstall them etc.

So it is faster to always work on a local copy of the site?
Then publish those pages? Would "import" work the same?

Much safer working locally then Publishing. Faster..maybe, maybe not.

Import does NOT work the same, Import only imports what a browser would see.
So if you Import a site you'll only get part of it.
