Vikas

HI to all dear friends of mine here
I recently assembled a PC for myself having following configurations

AMD Athlon 2800 64bit
ATI TUL Express Motherboard
512MB 400 FSB Kingston RAM
LG 17" Monitor
OS windows XP SP2

I m Facing a strange problem from the starting but now it is becoming
more frequent and bothereing me very much
MY system hangs itself and the monitor goes blank or with some stripes
all over it the colour matching with the previous application
..Sometimes it happens very frequently
like 5mins and at times it works completely fime.I am not using any
resource intensive applications either
I am not able to handle this problem Can anyone suggest me a best way
to tackle this problem.I have checked the RAM

Is this something related with AMD Processors
Pls reply me on my mail id:vikas,[email protected]

this can be almost anything...

- too weak psu
- incompatibility between ram/cpu/graphicscard/mainboard
- bad ram/cpu/mainboard/whatsoever
- screwed bios-settings
- maybe screwed windows install (have u done a fresh install after
upgrading?)

try to remove any unneccesary devices and try again. then replace any of
the parts to find the one causing the error.

it also can be the PSU which is too weak for your system.
if you're use at least a 400W QUALITY PSU for your system it should be
fine (lower ones can be powerful enough too but u cant know).

no my PSU is 450 W
i have swapped the Ram MOinitor
how can i check for the incompatibility .My Device Manager is not
showing any conflict
Regarding the BIOS settings I have chnged the settings to Failsafe
conditions
I have already removed the floppy drive
i have made a fresh install of windows XP SP2 (32Bit version) on my
machine
Can this be related with 32Bit OS and 64 Bit Architecture????

That 17 inch LG monitor is a piece of garbage. Almost
sounds like you are losing high voltage in the monitor
rather than having a problem with the pc.
