Lately, when the POST is done the remark "click del to continue" appears.
This happened once before then finally disappeared. What would cause this to
happen?

Hi,

A dying or dead CMOS battery. It is losing the settings while powered down.
If you're using default BIOS settings, it's no big deal but you should
replace the battery. It's on the motherboard, usually about the size of a US
nickel. Most stores that sell electronics or watch batteries will have them.
Make sure the system is powered off and the cord unplugged while you change
it out.

I have no idea. I post with Outlook Express, not CDO.
