strange behaviour!

I am trying to copy a value from =Setup!D15 in cell a156 of sheet 1 in the
same workbook.

When I do so it just remains as =Setup!D15 and not the contents of that
cell!!!!
However, if I copy it to, say, N156 (where I dont want it!) it works!!

Any idea what could be going on here. There is no protection on the sheet.

I would think that cell A156 was formatted as text before you entered the
formula.

I have sorted it now - it needs to be absolute with $. When I altered it to
=Setup!$D$15 it worked fine.
