Before cleaning my machine (due to a virus) and rebuilding, I saved my
Outlook .pst Personal Folders to an external drive. Now I can't find any .pst
extensions on the external drive, yet I can find everything else that I saved
there. Within the Outlook that I saved, there are files with extensions .srs,
..xml. .NK2, .dat. .rhc, .NICK, and I can't read any of these. An ideas?

How did you "save" this file?
Have you enabled the display of hidden files?

I thin iI just moved the Personal FOlders file to the external drive - how
are hidden files displayed?

Assuming your operating system is Windoows XP: Windows Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options > View
Are you certain Outlook was closed completely before you "moved" the file to
your external drive?

If I remember, Outlook was not closed.

Then there is no way you could have copied that file.
