store many many emails in OE

I would like to store all my pervious emails(more than 10000 emails, and the size of them are more than 3-4 GB). I'd make many different folders for storing them (most of them are have several hundred MB, around 500-100 emails in each folders), but it still very slow, and sometimes have problems, too. Any good suggestion for me that can do it better? Thanks a lot.

Don't do it!!! Export using DBXtract and keep them outside of OE.
